MEET PHIL EVANS

Being able to do something you love for a living is a real privilege and I hope that in return, the passion I feel about photography comes out both in my own images and when I’m on my landscape photography workshops.  I simply love working with people - photography is all about relationships - and the friendships I make with those who attend my photography workshops last for many years. There’s nothing so rewarding as working with others to help them produce landscape photos they can be really proud of.

I have exhibited in galleries including I2Art in Saffron Walden and Tuomuro in Hampshire, as well as online on Not on the High Street. I also ran successful photography training workshops both for groups and individuals from my Weyhill studio, and for Andover Camera Club members where I was President and regularly critiqued their in-house photography competitions.

I was the first person to be awarded Licentiates of both LBIPP and MPA at the same time (back in September 1997) and have been running location photography workshops for over 10 years, first from my studio in Hampshire, and more recently from my home at Hermiston House in the stunning Lake District National Park. Until my move to Cumbria, I was also a wedding and portrait photographer for over 30 years and I am really proud to be the first UK photographer to gain qualified Master Craftsman status with the Guild of Wedding & Portrait Photographers.
