Images of Bournemouth

My daughter is at the stage where she is attending open days for universities that interest her. Bournemouth is one of those universities that she visited with my wife while I took a stroll along the sea front to take a few photographs.

It was so windy that the sand was being blown right along the sea front. Even when I used my tripod to steady the camera the wind was shaking it. I took plenty of shots so I could just delete the blurry ones caused by camera movement. But this stormy weather gave me some great skies.

London Landscapes

I went up to London a couple of days ago to take my daughter to attend a university open day. While my wife and daughter visited the university I decided to walk along the Thames from Westminster Bridge to Tower Bridge and take some photographs along the way. I had been for a walk here a few months ago on another trip to London so I had an idea of what I wanted to photograph. The weather was dry but very cloudy which makes for some interesting skies. I did suffer a little for my art in the form of a couple of large blisters on my feet as I did walk a long way and did some detours along the way.

I hope you enjoy my efforts.

Oakley Hall Wedding

I’m so fortunate to have been able to shoot another wedding at Oakley Hall, near Basingstoke. I arrived early to find all the guys having a laugh and generally very calm. After helping them with their button holes we took some pictures of all the guys out the front at Oakley Hall and them pictures of the Groom and Bestman. The bridal party were getting prepared up at the little cottage, also in the grounds of Oakley Hall. It was lovely to find the bride and her attendants ready for me when I arrived and was able to quickly grab some lovely shots of the bride and her attendants before the ceremony. This was a pretty intimate wedding of around 20 guests which is lovely as no rounding up of the guests is necessary when we can start to photograph the family formals.

The bride had allocated plenty of time for us to wonder around the grounds to creating some pretty wonderful images. We walked around the front gardens first and had some intimate time with them cuddling and reflecting on their wedding day and then we wondered to the back of Oakley Hall, along their new woodland walk and then back towards the terrace after some lovely images sitting on the lawns with Oakley in the background.

Location Portrait in Andover

We had such fun with Fraser and his mum and dad recently. He was full of energy and he took some keeping up with. Two year olds are always a little more challenging as they take no notice of you at all. It is a matter of being in the right place at the right time to get some gorgeous shots. I would say most of my child shoots are with two year olds or there abouts, so it keeps me fit. They are always a joy and they do make you laugh. I was able to put together a fabulous album of Fraser and a great family portrait to go on the family wall.

Parkers Chocolate Pizza Feast

Having recently posted an article about Parkers Chocolates at The Fairground Craft and Design Centre I thought you might like to see something special that was not mentioned – The chocolate pizza. This is a feast for every chocolate lover available as milk or dark chocolate with a variety of toppings.

I have had one of these delicious treats before but my children munched through much of it so I could not resist the opportunity to get my hands on another one – enjoy!
