We have kicked off our Book Project 2012 with a great location session of four siblings. We met up at Anton Lakes and created some lovely images of the children, they were a delight to work with. Portraits at Beechurst

I did a lovely location shoot the other day amongst the daffodils at Beechurst Park. It was a beautiful day and we all had great fun. This is a lovely park and ideal for portraits as it is little used by the general public except for the odd dog walker.

Our New Puppy

This is our new puppy, he is a brown Lab. We collected him today and he is 9 weeks old. And we have named him Toby.

We lost our previous dog, Barney, last year. He was a West Highland Terrier and died at a good age of 15 years. We decided that it was time to have a new addition to our family. He has been a little mischief today exploring his new home and he has been a bit of a time waster for us all.

Most years I visit the photographers trade show which is held at the NEC in Birmingham. This year one of my trade suppliers asked if they could use one of my images to take centre stage on their trade stand and they printed it as a 2 metre high acrylic print. The quality was superb and it looked fabulous. I was very pleased to have it on show. It was one of the photographs I took while on holiday in New York of the Flatiron Building.

The Rose Concert at The Lights featuring boy band FTW

February 12th was the day of ‘The Rose’ concert in association with ‘The Andover Carnival’ at The Lights in Andover. Featuring Jake Ward, Jamie Walsh, Daniel Farr and Francesca Mulley together with Freestyle Felix and The Ruby Slippers Sparkles Dancers.

Jack and Wil

Wil, 7 mths, was the focus of this shoot as Jack, 3 yrs, had his portrait at the same age as Wil and they were needed to match on the wall. We did a great selection of shots of Wil but this situation is always difficult for the other sibling as they are not getting the same amount of attention. However, Jack was very helpful and helped me to get some smiles from Wil and we managed to get some lovely images of Jack also.

This little chap was on form at his recent portrait shoot. This is Niall and he is 10 months old. He was very happy to play and gave us lots of smiles.

Expired Tulips

As you know by now, I still very enjoy doing photography for me. One subject matter that really interests me is still life photography. Boring to some people but I suppose that is where the challenge lies, to try to create an image which is artistic and interesting and also something that someone would be happy to see on their wall at home. Freya at 7 months

Freya was very cute on her portrait shoot and gave us a variety of lovely expressions. At 7 months old she pretty much stays where she is put which allowed us to just concentrate in getting those lovely expressive moments.
